The pneumatic valve island Type 8647 AirLINE SP is a modular, electropneumatic automation system consisting of connection and valve modules. It has been especially developed for safe and complete integration into the decentralised peripheral system “SIMATIC ET 200SP” and "SIMATIC ET 200SP HA" from Siemens. Pneumatically operated process valves, pneumatic cylinders or other pneumatic components can be connected to the pneumatic outputs. If the pneumatic components are installed with position feedbacks, the position of the actuated pneumatic components can be displayed on the associated pilot valve. This can save time on start-up and maintenance.
The type MKRS extended the various usability of valve island type 8640 as well as the automation system type 8644. With new type MKRS in combination with valve types 6524 and 6525 redundancy valve functions can be installed. AirLINE Ex Type 8650 is a modular electrical and pneumatic automation system that controls complex processes in hazardous areas (Zone1 / 21). The protection class “intinsically safe” (Ex-i) of electronic modules and valves allows the change of modules during operation. With the modules of the cooperation partner Siemens, Bürkert offers electrical, analogue and digital I/O functions for use in zone 0. A data set on a SD-Card with serialised data will be delivered as a complete system.
The AirLINE System integrates high performance solenoid pilot valves, remote electronic I/O and fieldbus communication into a process actuation and control system that is both compact and extremely flexible. Its modular design allows fully customized, pre-mounted and tested solutions to exactly meet all application needs including the integration of a local MiniPLC. Due to the full electronic and mechanical integration, the valve block can be added without the need of any tools or wiring.
The 8640 valve unit system is designed to solve diverse and complex control problems due to its systematic modular construction and combination of pneumatic and electrical interfaces. By putting together a row of pneumatic modules with different numbers of valves, 2 to 24 valve functionalities may be realized on one valve unit. In addition to the widely used PROFIBUS fieldbus, the Ethernet protocols PROFINET and EtherNet/IP can also be used to control these automation systems including their I/O interfaces.
